These distal end cutters are fitted with high-speed steel inserts, a specially developed stainless steel alloy with increased hardness. High-speed steel is not as rigid as Tungsten Carbide and therefore less likely to break if you accidentally drop the instrument. It cuts with ease and will retain its sharp edge for years if handled correctly.
